Local Support
If you are needing support for your mental health, there are a variety of options in our local community for you to access;
- Your general practitioner (GP) is a great first port of call regarding getting some support for your mental health. They are able to create a mental health care plan that enables you to access therapy at headspace for free (if you are under 25), or a private therapist with a medicare rebate.
- Our local headspace centre is at 36 Station Rd, Margaret River. Headspace supports young people 12 – 25yrs with mild to moderate mental health concerns and/or substance use issues, and their family and friends. You can just call or walk into the centre for more information on 6164 0680.
- Our Community Mental Health Clinic is located at 3/18 Fearn Avenue, Margaret River. The clinic supports people experiencing moderate to severe mental illness, and their families and friends. You can just call or walk into the centre for more information on 9757 3547.
- For those who are attending school, your school counsellor or psychologist is available to provide mental health support to you during school hours.
- Mindful Margaret River is an organisation that helps promote mental health and wellbeing in our local community and helps to link people to relevant support services. They can found at https://mindfulmargaretriver.org.au
